As you know all insurance policies have "get out clauses" to alleviate the company paying out if they can get out of it
I was going to phone my insurance company and ask them if a EV fire was covered
I do think that the problem is so huge that a simple price rise would not be sufficient
eg:- A thirty story residential building with space for sixty cars, some of them EVs with very limited access for firefighting trucks to attend to the fire
So a potential for disaster of 30 units by $1.5 million.
Forty five million $$$$ plus all the personal claims
Private car parking is very cramped with all cars jammed up against one another
Do you think an insurance company is going to foot the bill for that ????
