So with 82,200 cases, 1144 deaths and 61,689 recoveries, that means there are currently 19,187 active cases … and there has probably been a similar number of daily active cases for several months now … your point?

I see that on any day, almost 20,000 mostly unvaccinated Australians are soaking up free medical resource as professionals manage their care, about 2,000-3,000 of which are soaking up free hospital services and perhaps 300 - 400 of which are trying to stay alive with resource intensive, expensive icu care, from which a number will never regain consciousness … most of all this being largely preventable had they been vaccinated.

Those numbers also mean 98.6% of people infected with Covid have survived or are presently sick with Covid and are hoping to survive … your point?

I see that 98.6% of people infected with Covid have received amazing care from one of the world’s best national medical systems, escalating to hospital and ICU care when needed, for free, and that another 1.4% of unfortunate souls died an unpleasant death … most of all this being largely preventable had they been vaccinated.

Lack of early vaccination was part due to how quickly the pandemic unfolded and part due to many bad government decisions … whereas lack of tail end vaccination beyond say 80% eligible will be due to poor personal decisions, in no small part due to those people knowing they can rely on Australia’s health care system to look after them when they do get Covid.
