    1. It's obvious when people post nonsense, that they lack sufficient knowledge or training.
    2. Yes, I do. I am a doctor with two post-graduate Fellowships and a former chief examiner of a specialist medical college.
    3. What is your evidence for saying the medical profession has become very politicized? The medical profession is made up of highly intelligent, highly trained individuals who have spent literally decades acquiring their knowledge and skills. That doesn't mean there are not villains and naive fools among them. However, when a doctor comes forward as a spokesperson on a health issue or representing a government body, they are no more politicised than is a public servant, a tram driver or a Royal Commissioner. The appearance of politicisation comes from your own bias, I'm afraid. You can trust what these CMO's say, because one other personality trait of doctors is that we are always itching to argue a scientific point and will surely start jumping up and down if you are being told rubbish in the name of medical science. Like I am now, for example.
    4. Why the obsession with the Hippocratic Oath? It is not part of training or registration in Australia (or at least it wasn't in NSW when I trained!) yet we have the best doctors in the world. Swearing on the Bible doesn't make a witness in court tell the truth and swearing an oath doesn't make a better doctor.

When your motto is "the only person to trust is you" (kind of pathetic, that, TBH), you'd better be very sure of your facts.
