Well, KP, I am sorry to hear of your troubles. But it's a brave statistician who extrapolates from 9 botched operations to condemn 80% of the profession. Why pick a figure of 80%? Why not 95%, or 34.8%, or 0.1%?
However, I didn't say doctors were perfect. I said that they are highly intelligent and highly trained. Yet they can still botch your 9 operations, apparently. How well would you have got on if they were stupid and their training consisted of 90 minutes visiting conspiracy-theory websites?
In your final paragraph you have unfortunately reverted to writing drivel, I'm afraid. There has not been a single occasion in my 38 year professional life in which I have had to "pander to political requirements" in order to preserve income and your suggestion that doctors do so on a regular basis is both insulting and egregiously ignorant.
