One of Australia's busiest meal delivery companies has briefly moved its business to Sydney after a coronavirus outbreak hit their Melbourne distribution centre. Victorian health authorities are continuing to investigate an outbreak at the distribution centre for Marley Spoon.In today’s breakdown of Victoria’s coronavirus cases, chief health officer Dr Brett Sutton said authorities were investigating eight cases linked to the Altona North centre.Marley Spoon said this afternoon four of the cases were employees, forcing a number of other team members into self-isolation.“We are working closely with all affected by the production changes to provide financial assistance for lost shifts due to the required self-isolation,” managing director Rolf Weber said in a statement.“We only expect minor interruptions for a couple of days and will inform you proactively if that is the case.”Victoria recorded 322 new coronavirus cases today and saw 19 people die from the virus – the state’s worst daily death toll since the pandemic began.
