COVID - over the top reaction everywhere...

As viruses go, corona virus is a relatively tame virus.
Most children are not affected, and the vast majority of other people who get infected are able to overcome it.
There are only a small proportion of deaths - very small.
The media carps on about Italy with about 2,000 deaths - but they forget to mention the population of Italy is over 60,000,000.

So it is in Australia - big headline "Surge in Coronavirus deaths in NSW" - yeah, a whole 26 of them. Again they don't mention the population of NSW is around 8,000,000.

There has been far too much of an over-reaction to this virus. Yes, it can kill people but not that many. Imagine what is likely to happen when a real plague visits the world again (and it will as populations continue to foolishly increase).

It should simply be accepted that from time to time people are going to die from virally transmitted disease. That's a fact of life and no amount of government intervention will ever stop it. I'm not saying disease is a good thing but the reaction to this virus has been out of all proportion. Inflenza kills about 2,000 per year in Australia - actually the figures are not accurately known - but no big deal is made of that.

time to stop the bullshit - if you get this virus the probability is you will recover - some won't - but you can never stop that.
