A couple of things to note with you commentary:
    1. With the exception of SARS and MERS, none of the viruses you mention were novel at the time of their outbreak/s.
    2. Neither SARS nor MERS became a global pandemic.
    3. I have not found any evidence that Australia officially called for an enquiry into SARS (but happy to be corrected).

I do believe an enquiry into a novel virus that became a global pandemic is both justified and warranted, regardless of the country of origin, and I believe that all countries being investigated should cooperate fully with the enquiry. If Italy were to be investigated, I'd expect them to cooperate - and I'm sure they would.

China, on the other hand, disseminates, denies, hinders. It destroys evidence and imprisons witnesses. Why does China do this if it has nothing to hide?
