The Covid vax plan has stripped the outer covering from the Victorian bureaucratic brain (BB).
On a drive on Easter Sunday, noticed in a nearby town that the Covid clinic was open - the lights were on and a security guard stood guarding the empty car park.
Inside there were two nurses, one female in a blueish uniform at a computer and a bloke I presumed was the doctor.
But no patients.
Anyway said sub continent security guard said I had to leave, as the car park and fridge full of Covid vax shots were for staff only.
But there were no staff arms to be jabbed.
Just then a bloke and his wife and about 7 years old girl in Sunday best pulled up and parked in the nearly empty car park (my jalopy was the only occupant). Security guard asked man if he was getting vaxed? "No just visiting aunty in hospital"
You can't park here said guard, only for immunisation - instructions from BB clearly.
So four medical people and a security guard being paid "diamond time" 2 and a half time to stand around and scratch their you know whats.
It is not difficult to see why the vax rollout is costing a fortune and achieving almost nothing.
A locum GP cost $1500 a day normal time, years ago.
Boxes of vaccine are being thrown out because they have been in the fridge for a few days.
