Older people now have a high vaccination rate,
so naturally there will be a relative increase in cases among the younger.
And with a large increase in cases will come an increase in serious cases.
Statistics are often used in the media to draw conclusions that are not necessarily correct.
This is why the statistic here that matters to me is
'serious illnesses as a percentage of total cases, for the given demographic'.
Anything else is borderline irrelevant.
