Its not just about death. For example, studies in Canada were showing about 1 in 40 unvaccinated COVID cases in my age bracket in Canada were needing to be hospitalised.
With regard to your initial post I quoted... "Natural immunity" might provide better post infection protection than a vaccine alone, but thats not really where the analysis should stop. Vaccine + infection will provide just as good, if not better, future protection than "natural immunity" alone. This is why, for younger populations, booster shots won't be needed "forever" as some have claimed.
