But there has been a lockdown. Without the lockdown, it would spread exponentially.
My objection to what's happening is that the governments of the world had the opportunity to eradicate it when it started. They could have had a one month global lockdown followed by tough border restrictions. But they fiddled instead and claimed that vaccines would solve everything. Even this delta outbreak in Australia is due to weak borders. Two other issues are the lack of preparation even though we know pandemics happen, and the possibility that it was created in a lab, which is evil - they should have never been experimenting like that.
