Now that Victoria has descended into Lockdown No.2 and other states are beginning to see a slight uptick in Covid cases (NSW 14 & WA 3 new cases last 24hrs) what is the plan for Australia?
From what I can delineate from MSM announcements from the Prime Minister and State Premiers is that the only plan is to react with cyclical shutdowns. It seems the only plan is to close borders (cities and even suburbs) every time we have an outbreak (surge in Victoria).
That's madness. That's not a plan for Australia to manage this longterm. Eventually, we are going to have to come to terms with the fact that COVID19 is now part of the world ecological environment. It's going nowhere and will be with us for years to come. Shutdowns are NOT the answer!
So, what is the plan? Our governments are failing us because they are slaves to short-sighted fear induced reactionism. They are not leading us on a path to open up (in good time) and rejoin the world.
