At this time one person's opinion is as good or as bad as any other in the face of lack of knowledge of what is actually being done. We make judgements on what the science capability of the company is and also of how they might make a dollar or two by marketing it all. The first is acknowledged by most , though not all. The second for COVID-19 is not a given as shareman outlines.
However unless the first is established, the second is irrelevant. We just have to let them get on with it. We (long termers) bet on this company because we have the opinion that it's science is ground breaking in some respects and worth staying in the race for.
The belief that they will at some time get a big pharma to put money in is supported by opinions expressed by the company from time to time. There are those who sincerely doubt this because it hasn't happened yet after many hopeful statements by the company. My view at the moment is that with HIV and HEPB something will eventuate because it is not matched elsewhere and is needed.
COVID-19 is different. As shareman stated lots of competition out there. BIT are in with a chance. if good results scientifically as we have almost come to expect (though not certain) it is a good chance. Shareman's view of a spike up and then run down is totally realistic unless the company manages to find big bucks to support further tests in quick time. They may or they may not. Once again as their science is based on good theoretical constructs and some previous success, the chance they will is reasonably good but who knows.
We will find out soon enough.
Personal criticisms expressed because of different points of view are a waste of effort and time as are such directed against individuals in the company.
