    The premise of your statement assumes that the two scenarios can be compared. Yes the flu kills approx 650,000 people. However we are experiencing unprecedented times where people are going through extreme quarantines, travel bans, social distancing. The best you can rely on is prediction models.

    Current Italian stats from WHO: 1441/21157*100 = 6.8%
    Spain: 136/5753 = 2.3%
    Sth korea: 75/8162 = 0.9%
    I won't even try and quote Chinese numbers - no one believes anything they say.

    Just remember the Italians are about 20 days ahead France and Spain in infection.
    I also showed South Korea to illustrate the variance and the country's effective control measures compared to the Italians.

    I agree with you guys that it is too early to get reliable stats. Further, the testing procedures are not completely sound as we saw in the fiasco with Frump and the CDC.
