    sorry wotoil but its been way too long since weve seen a decent WFA performer come out of NZ.

    their racing never really recovered from the attempt to match it with australia 20 years ago - it blew the finances apart and forced trainers/jockeys & owners to flee to OZ.

    a good WFA performer in NZ these days is barely a group 3 horse here now.

    dont get me wrong - surfers paradise win in the cox plate was one of my greatest successes. his type dont exist there any longer.
