Just my gut feeling that we are going to hear very soon an update from Dr Aaron Sverdlov and Co. Below some of his recent comments.

Cardio-oncology is a relatively new specialty that focuses ontaking care ofhashtag#Cardiovascularhealth whileone is going through cancer treatment and beyond into survivorship. It is allabout teamwork betweenhashtag#cancerandcardiovascular physicians. It focusses on improving both cancer andcardiovascular outcomes for all patients living with and beyond cancer.

It is gaining momentum and interest in Australia:fantastic to see new collaborations and centres emerging.

During last 6 weeks, I was honoured to present onCardio-Oncology for 3 different Professional Organisations: 'Introduction toCardio-Oncology' webinar forThe Royal Australasian College ofPhysicians; 'Development and outcomes of our cardio-oncology clinics' attheCardiac Society of Australia and NewZealandScientificSession and 'Current and Future Directions for Cardio-Oncology' at theMedical Oncology Group of AustraliaScientific Session.

Working together to improve health of all our patients!

I would also like to highlight the work of ourNewcastle Centre of Excellence in Cardio-Oncology, co-led byDoan Ngoacross the whole spectrum of research from fundamentalscience to models of care and clinical service delivery.

I am honoured to have co-authored the new position statementfrom theEuropean Society of Cardiology,hashtag#HFAandhashtag#ESC_Council_of_CardioOncologyonhashtag#Cardiovasculartoxicitiesassociated with immunotherapies. We discuss pathophysiology and epidemiology ofvarious CV toxicities as well as approaches to their diagnosis and management.Thank you to everyone involved that ahs put so much work into this!
