While I think it is reasonable to use a 30% chance of success, we are not actually repurposing bisantrene as it is still be using for what it was original developed. My (DT) favourite term these days to describe what we are doing is finishing - we are finishing the development of bisantrene, solving the problems Lederle couldn't (formulation), and using modern science to identifying the best opportunities for its use in the clinic. Given how far Lederle were able to take bisantrene, and how we have been able to solve the problem that prevented them commercialisating bisantrene, it could be argued that the chance of success is much higher than 30%.
