It's all about scale Rob. Sure, by the time you bulk out the higher grade zones with the lower grade zones the overall grade is going to be lower, but there's likely to be 100's of millions of tonnes, for multi-million ounces Pd equivalent, which appears to be open-pitable. That's what I'd assume the public perceive. And what you refer to as "stringers" are zones that are 10-20m thick. Chalice (and all it's shareholders) would be hoping that the conductors they have to the north at Hartog represent the more massive parts of the mineralised system, similar to what is seen in other significant ore systems of this style around the world. Still so much potential.

Looking at the Caspin core, we hope that the sulphides have a decent amount of PGE's in them (nearby drillholes are encouraging for this). But if we compare to the core that we've seen in the Chalice announcements so far, it's highly unlikely that it will be any higher grade than their stringers. Caspin would also be hoping that they can pinpoint a massive sulphide feeder zone to this more disseminated/stringer halo. They'll likely have to look to some deeper detecting geophysical methods to shore up some decent targets for drilling. Either way, agreed both will cost money.

    Bas.
