The CPSA claims to be a Shareholders association for CTP. They have told us many time that they are here to liaise between the CTP board and shareholders.
I don't remember electing the CPSA. I don't remember being asked to choose them as my representative. They simply appeared, announcing themselves, and asked us to hand over details to them. During they years they have been around (I know they were involved in the board change in 2012) they have never had a nomination or an election - it's always been a closed shop, with them telling us they are our representatives.
Now that time is running out, when we need someone to work on behalf of us (who have roundly told them we support a no vote), the CPSA seem to have gone quiet.
Another share holder, has done his own thing again, finding people prepared to step up and manage the company until a proper board election can be held. I can't stress how important it is that we have people like this ready to temporarily take over, should the no vote succeed and then the board resign (as they are expected to do if they lose).
This morning CamdenBob attempted the next step, to require CTP to allow time for the interim board to present themselves. After posting this HotCopper were asked to remove it, because he wasn't Authorised!
Well, CPSA, you are not authorised either! You nominate and promote yourselves, and then appear to be doing very little, while stopping someone who is actually doing something (as authorised as the CPSA is!)
While I accept that the CPSA has offered themselves as shareholder representatives, and some people have authorised them on their behalf, I know of no reason that they represent anyone but the people who have contacted them.
So I ask again, CPSA, where are you? What are *YOU* doing while Camdenbob is trying to give us an alternative, a way for CTP to survive in a no vote, rather than just conceding with a yes vote.
