Computershare
The stock that once traded for almost $10.00 slumped to a three year low of $2.06 on Tuesday as earnings jitters caused investors to seek safer havens. Traders said the stock was affected by the announcement from broker Rene Rivkin that he had bought put options in Computershare. On Monday, Rivkin said in his newsletter there were rumours that the company will have to announce another earnings downgrade. Mr Rivkin said he bought July $2.50 puts at a price of 32.5¢, which means that, because of the reaction to downgrade speculation, he is now in the money. The stock regained some ground after panicky early trade to sit at $2.12, down 12¢ or 5.4 per cent.
