New technology that is cost-effective is slow to get going. New technology that isn’t cost effective, no matter how clever it is, won’t, especially when there is established competition already installing their product around the world.
ClearVue’s concept is great, reflecting the light with their clever glass to PV cells in the frame. If other companies hadn’t been able to put the PVs in the glass itself, and manufacture it in single and double glazed units up to 2m by 4m instead of only triple glazed 1m sq panels, they might have been in with a chance - although I doubt it. Maybe the company could issue some ROI numbers.
