CPV windows do generate some power, not much but some.
To do this they use 4 sheets of low iron glass, the film laminated between 2 of the 4 sheets, another film plus all the strips around the edge of the windows.
Onyx use 1 sheet of glass admittedly with a grid but none the less 1 sheet of glass and I don't believe the grid cares if it is on low iron glass or standard float.
Ubiquitous use a vacuum deposited film on 1 sheet of low iron glass.
My point here is when costing options do we take the amount of glass needed for a CPV window into account? 4 times as much glass as anyone else to make the same power or less.
I will admit that in a high rise situation it would be double glazed for the other 2 but that is still half the glass required than CPV use.
