this type of drop and this fast must have a reason beyond stock volatility, correction and so on. Two things stand out in my mind 1. Someone had enough stock to be able to trigger this drop and cause panic selling then start buying the stock in much larger volumes than they sold. If this is the case the stock should start going up towards the end of the day or in a day or two. 2. The company/technology might have hit an unexpected challenge or similar scenarios that the market have become aware of. If this is the case then it should take some reassuring news from the company to allay doubt/rumors etc.
