Islamic Jihad and Yasser Arafat's Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades claimed responsibility. Another arm of Yassar Arafat's movement denied responsibility.
    January 12: A 48-year-old man was killed and four people wounded when terrorists infiltrated Moshav Gadish and opened fire. The Palestinian Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack.

    September 9: Nine non-combat soldier were killed and over 30 wound when a suicide bomber exploded in a bus stop near Asaf-Ha-Rofe hospital and the military base of Tzrifin. Hamas claimed responsibility for the murder.
    September 9: Seven people were killed and over 50 wounded when a suicide bomber exploded at the Cafe Hillel in Jerusalem. Hamas claimed responsibility for the murder.
    September 26: A 7-month-old baby girl and a 29-year-old man are killed, and both of the baby's parents are wounded, when a Palestinian gunman enters their home in Negohot (in the West Bank) and opens fire, during the family's celebration of the Jewish New Year.
    October 4: 21 people are killed and 64 wounded when the female suicide bomber Hanadi Jaradat explodes in the Jewish-Arab Maxim restaurant in Haifa. Four of the victims were children, including a 2-month-old. The Islamic Jihad group claimed responsibility for the suicide-massacre. The terrorist attack came just a day before Yom Kippur.

    November 19: Four people were injured and one women was killed, when an Arab terrorist, Ahmed Jahid, opened fire on a group of tourist in Rabin border crossing between the Arava (Israel) and Aqaba (Jordan). The terrorist was killed by Israeli security guards and it is believed he was sent by Al-Qaeda.
    November 22: Two Israeli civilian security guards were killed in a construction site near Nahal Kidron at the outskirts of Jerusalem. The Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades claimed responsibility.

    March 27: The Passover Massacre: 30 Israelis were killed and over 140 wounded when a suicide bomber exploded in the crowded dining room of the Park Hotel in Netanya.
    March 28: Four family members killed in Elon Moreh, when a Palestinian terrorist infiltrated the hilltop community near Nablus, burst into their home, and shot them.
    March 29: Two elderly men were stabbed to death while on their way to the synagogue for morning prayers, when a Palestinian terrorist infiltrated the Neztarim settlement in the Gaza Strip.

    April 12: Seven people killed by a woman suicide bomber who detonated a powerful charge at a bus stop on Jaffa road next to the entrance to Jerusalem's Mahane Yehuda open-air market. Another 104 people were injured in the blast, among them nine Arabs. The Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades claimed responsibility for the attack.
    April 27: Four people, including a 5-year-old girl, killed when terrorists dressed in IDF uniforms and combat gear cut through the settlement's defensive perimeter fence and entered Adora, west of Hebron. The terrorists entered several homes, firing on people in their bedrooms.
    May 7: 15 people killed and 55 wounded when a suicide bomber detonated a powerful charge in a game club located on the 3rd floor of a building in Rishon LeZion, causing part of the building to collapse. Hamas claimed responsibility for the attack.
    May 12: An Israeli settler of Pe'at Sadeh in the southern Gaza Strip was shot and killed by a Palestinian laborer, when he came to pick him up at a checkpoint.

    May 27: A woman and her infant granddaughter, aged 14 months, of Petah Tikva were killed when a suicide bomber detonated himself near an ice cream parlor outside a shopping mall.
    May 28: Two Israelis were killed when shots were fired at the car in which they was traveling south on the Ramallah bypass road. Three yeshiva high school students killed in Itamar, southeast of Nablus, when a Palestinian gunman infiltrated the community and opened fire on the teenagers.
    June 5: 17 people killed when a car packed with a large quantity of explosives struck Egged bus No. 830 traveling from Tel-Aviv to Tiberias at the Megiddo junction near Afula. The car exploded near the gasoline tank of the bus, causing it to burst into flames. Most of the casualties were soldiers who were on their way to their bases. The Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack.
    June 6: 18-year-old Israeli student died of gunshot wounds to the chest sustained in a shooting attack near Ofra, north of Ramallah, when Palestinian terrorists opened fire from an ambush.
    June 8: Three israelis, including a pregnant woman, were shot dead when terrorists infiltrated the community of Carmei Tzur south of Bethlehem.
    June 11: A 14-year-old girl was killed when a Palestinian suicide bomber set off a relatively small pipe bomb at a shwarma restaurant in Herzliya.
    June 18: 19 people killed and 74 wounded in a suicide bombing at the Patt junction in Egged bus no. 32A traveling from Gilo to the center of Jerusalem. The terrorist boarded the bus at the stop in Beit Safafa, an Arab neighborhood opposite Gilo, and almost immediately detonated the large bomb which he carried in a bag stuffed with ball bearings. The blast destroyed the front half of the bus, packed with people on their way to work and schoolchildren.
    June 19: Seven people, including a 5-year-old girl and her grandmother, were killed when a suicide bomber blew himself up at a crowded bus stop and hitchhiking post at the French Hill intersection in northern Jerusalem.
    June 20: Five people, including a mother and three of her sons, were murdered when a terrorist entered their home in Itamar, south of Nablus, and opened fire.
    July 16: Nine people (two men, six women, and an infant child) were killed in a terrorist attack on Dan bus no. 189 traveling from Bnei Brak to Emmanuel in Samaria. Two 20-kilo bombs were set off about 200 meters from the town's entrance, damaging the bus's front tires and forcing it off the road. The explosion damaged the bus doors, trapping the passengers inside. The terrorists then started to shoot at the bus, firing through the unprotected roof and throwing grenades through the narrow upper windows, which are not armored.
    July 17: Five people were killed and about 40 injured in a double suicide bombing on Neve Sha'anan Street near the old central bus station in Tel Aviv. The bombs, which were strapped to the waists of the bombers, contained nails and metal shards.
    July 25: A 43-year-old Rabbi was killed and another civilian injured in a shooting attack near the West Bank community of Alei Zahav, west of Ariel.
    July 26: A couple and their 9-year-old son were killed in a shooting attack south of Hebron. Two of their other children were injured.

    August 1: A 27-year old Israeli man was found shot in the head at point-blank range and bound, west of Tulkarem, near the Green Line.
    August 4: Nine people were killed in the suicide bombing of Egged bus No. 361 traveling from Haifa to Safed at the Meron junction in northern Israel. The blast blew off the roof of the bus, which then burst into flames, killing or wounding nearly everyone inside. A 34-year-old Israeli and a 52-year-old Palestinian were killed when a Palestinian terrorist opened fire with a pistol near the Damascus Gate of Jerusalem's Old City.
    August 5: A young Israeli couple were killed when terrorists opened fire on their car as they were traveling on the Ramallah-Nablus road near Eli in Samaria. One of their children was wounded in the attack.
    August 10: A 31-year-old woman was killed and her husband seriously wounded when a Palestinian terrorist infiltrated Moshav Mechora in the Jordan Valley, and opened fire outside their home.
    September 18: The charred body of a 67-year old Israeli construction contractor was found near el-Azzariya, a Palestinian village near Ma'ale Adumim, east of Jerusalem. He was the victim of a terrorist killing. A 36-year-old Israeli was killed when terrorists opened fire on his car near Mevo Dotan, north of Jenin in the West Bank. An Israeli policeman was killed and three people were wounded in a suicide bombing at a bus stop at the Umm al Fahm junction.
    September 19: Six people were killed when a suicide terrorist detonated a bomb in Dan bus No. 4 on Allenby Street, opposite the Great Synagogue in Tel-Aviv. Hamas claimed responsbility for the attack.
    September 23: A 48-year-old man was killed and three of his children wounded, one seriously, in a shooting attack near the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron during the Sukkot festival.
    October 8: A 51-year-old Israeli was critically wounded in an ambush shooting south of Hebron. He died of his wounds the following day. Hamas claimed resopnsibility for the attack.

    October 27: Three IDF soldiers killed in a suicide bombing at the Sonol gas station at the entrance to Ariel in Samaria while trying to prevent the terrorist from detonating the bomb. About 20 people were wounded in the bombing.
    October 29: A woman and two 14-year-old girls were shot dead by a Palestinian terrorist who infiltrated the settlement of Hermesh, north of Tulkarm, in Samaria. A soldier and a resident were wounded in the assault.
    November 4: Two persons killed when a Palestinian suicide bomber detonated himself at a Kfar Sava shopping mall.
    November 6: Two Israeli farmers were shot to death by a Palestinian terrorist posing as a worker near Pe'at Sadeh in the southern Gaza Strip.
    November 10: Five people, including a mother and her 4- and 5-year-old children, were shot and killed by a terrorist who infiltrated Kibbutz Metzer, located east of Hadera near the Green Line. The terrorist shot the mother and children as they hugged one another.
    November 15: 12 people killed -- nine soldiers and three civilians from the Kiryat Arba emergency response team -- and 15 wounded in Hebron when Palestinian terrorists opened fire and threw grenades at a group of Jewish worshipers and their guards as they were walking home from Sabbath Eve prayers at the Cave of the Patriarchs.
    November 21: 11 people killed and about 50 wounded in a suicide bombing on a No. 20 Egged bus in the Kiryat Menahem neighborhood of Jerusalem. Most of the victims were high-school students on their way to school.
    November 28: Kenyan hotel bombing: Three Israelis, including two brothers, and 10 Kenyans killed when a car bomb exploded in the lobby of the Israeli-owned beachfront Paradise Hotel, frequented almost exclusively by Israeli tourists near Mombasa in Kenya. 21 Israelis and 60 Kenyans were wounded in the attack. Six Israelis were killed when two terrorists opened fire and threw grenades at the Likud polling station in Beit She'an, where party members were casting their votes in the Likud primary.
    December 20: A 40-year-old Rabbi was shot and killed on the Kissufim corridor road (in the Gaza Strip) while driving with his wife and six children to attend a pre-wedding Sabbath celebration in Afula. The Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack.
    December 27: Four yeshiva students were killed in Otniel while working in the yeshiva kitchen, serving the Shabbat meal to some 100 students in the adjacent dining room. Two terrorist infiltrated the settlement, entered the yeshiva building through the kitchen service door, and shot dead the four unarmed students.
    Events of 2003
    January 2: The body of a 72-year-old Israeli was found in the northern Jordan Valley in his burned out car. The Fatah Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades claimed responsibility for the murder.
    January 5: 23 people, including eight foreigners, are murdered in two nearly simultaneous suicide bombings in central Tel Aviv. More than 100 others were reported seriously injured. Islamic Jihad and Yasser Arafat's Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades claimed responsibility. Another arm of Yassar Arafat's movement denied responsibility.
    January 12: A 48-year-old man was killed and four people wounded when terrorists infiltrated Moshav Gadish and opened fire. The Palestinian Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack.
    January 17: A 34-year-old Israeli was killed when terrorists entered his home near Kiryat Arba, and opened fire. His 5-year-old daughter and two others were wounded. Hamas claimed responsibility for the attack.
    March 5: 17 killed, about 53 injured in explosion on bus in Haifa.
    March 7: A couple from Kiryat Arba, were killed and five wounded by armed terrorists disguised as Jewish worshippers who infiltrated Kiryat Arba, entered their home and murdered them while they were celebrating the Sabbath. Hamas claimed responsibility for the attack.
    March 19: A 51-year-old Israeli was shot dead while driving in his car between Mevo Dotan and Shaked in northern Samaria (in the West Bank). The Fatah al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades claimed responsibility.
    April 15: An Israeli and a Palestinian were killed and four Israelis were wounded when a Palestinian terrorist opened fire at the Karni industrial zone crossing in the Gaza Strip. Hamas claimed responsibility for the attack.
    April 24: A 23-year-old Israeli security guard was killed and 13 were wounded,in a suicide bombing outside the train station in Kfar Sava. Groups related to the Fatah al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades and the PFLP clamied joint responsibility for the attack.
    April 30: Three Israelis are killed, about 60 injured when a British Muslim suicide bomber blows himself up outside Mike's Palce bar on the Tel Aviv coast.
    May 5: An Israeli was killed and two others (including the victim's 6-year-old daughter) were seriously wounded when terrorists fired shots at their vehicle near Shvut Rachel, in Samaria. The Fatah al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades claimed responsibility for the attack.
    May 11: A 53-year-old Israeli man was shot in the head and killed by Palestinians in a roadside ambush north of Jerusalem. Both Fatah and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine claimed responsibility for the attack.
    May 17: An Israeli couple were killed by a suicide bomber in Hebron. Hamas claimed responsibility for the attack.
    May 18: Palestinian suicide bomber kills seven, wounds 20 on bus in Jerusalem's French Hill district. Hamas claimed responsibility for the attack.
    May 19: A suicide bomber blows herself up at the entrance to a mall in the northern Israeli town of Afula. Three people are killed and about 60 wounded. The Islamic Jihad and the Fatah al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades both claimed responsibility for the attack.
    June 5: The bodies of two Israelis were found near Hadassah Ein Karem Hospital in Jerusalem, brutally beaten and stabbed to death.
    June 11: 17 people killed and over 100 wounded when a suicide bomber detonated himself on board a #14A bus in downtown Jerusalem. Hamas claimed responsibility.
    June 12: A 51-year-old Israeli was found shot to death in his car in the West Bank. The Fatah al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades claimed responsibility for the attack.
    June 17: An Israeli 7-year old girl is killed and three of her family members (including her younger sister) wounded when Palestinians, armed with assault rifles, attack the car they were travelling in, on road no. 6, some few hundreds meters far from Qalqiliya. The Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades claimed responsibility.
    June 19: An Israeli shopkeeper is killed in Sdei-Trumot (a village in northern Israel), when a Palestinian suicide bomber blows himself up inside the shop. The Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack.
    June 20: A 47-year-old Israeli was killed when his car was fired upon in an ambush by Palestinians north of Ramallah. His parents, American citizens, were seriously wounded and his wife lightly injured. Hamas claimed responsibility for the attack.
    June 26: An Israeli phone company employee was killed in a shooting attack by a Palestinian teenager in the Israeli Arab town of Baka al-Garbiyeh. The Fatah al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades claimed responsibility for the attack.
    June 30: A 46-year-old construction worker from Bulgaria was killed in a shooting attack on a road west of Jenin, while driving a truck. The Fatah Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades claimed responsibility for the attack, in opposition to the declared ceasefire.
    July 7: A 65-year-old Israeli woman was killed in her home in Moshav Kfar Yavetz and three of her grandchildren lightly wounded in a terrorist suicide bombing. The Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack.
    July 15 A 24-year-old Israeli was stabbed to death while protecting his girlfriend against a Palestinian armed with a long-bladed knife on Tel Aviv's beach-front promenade. The terrorist, who was shot and apprehended, is a member of the Fatah Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, which claimed responsibility for the attack.
    August 12: A 43-year-old Israeli was murdered by a teenaged Palestinian suicide bomber who detonated himself in a Rosh Ha'ayin supermarket.
    August 12: Two Israelis were killed by a teenaged Palestinian suicide bomber who detonated himself at a bus stop outside Ariel.
    August 19: 23 killed, 136 wounded by an explosion, caused by a Palestinian suicide bomber, on board a bus in Jerusalem. Among the victims are several children. The Palestinian Islamic Jihad in Hebron, and Hamas claim responsibility for the attack.
    August 29: A 25-year old Israeli was killed in a shooting attack while driving northeast of Ramallah. His wife who was seven months pregnant, sustained moderate injuries, and gave birth to a baby girl by Caesarean section. The Fatah al-Aqsa Brigades claimed responsibility for the attack.
    September 9: Nine non-combat soldier were killed and over 30 wound when a suicide bomber exploded in a bus stop near Asaf-Ha-Rofe hospital and the military base of Tzrifin. Hamas claimed responsibility for the murder.
    September 9: Seven people were killed and over 50 wounded when a suicide bomber exploded at the Cafe Hillel in Jerusalem. Hamas claimed responsibility for the murder.
    September 26: A 7-month-old baby girl and a 29-year-old man are killed, and both of the baby's parents are wounded, when a Palestinian gunman enters their home in Negohot (in the West Bank) and opens fire, during the family's celebration of the Jewish New Year.
    October 4: 21 people are killed and 64 wounded when the female suicide bomber Hanadi Jaradat explodes in the Jewish-Arab Maxim restaurant in Haifa. Four of the victims were children, including a 2-month-old. The Islamic Jihad group claimed responsibility for the suicide-massacre. The terrorist attack came just a day before Yom Kippur.
    October 19: Three Israeli soldiers are killed and two more are injured after a roadside ambush near Ein-Yabrud village, south to Ofra on the West Bank.
    October 24: Two female soldiers and one male soldier are killed after two terrorists infillirated into the military court inside Netzarim settlement on the Gaza Strip. Three more soldier were wounded.
    November 18: Two soldiers were killed by a Palestinian gunman in a checkpoint near Bethlehem.
    November 19: Four people were injured and one women was killed, when an Arab terrorist, Ahmed Jahid, opened fire on a group of tourist in Rabin border crossing between the Arava (Israel) and Aqaba (Jordan). The terrorist was killed by Israeli security guards and it is believed he was sent by Al-Qaeda.
    November 22: Two Israeli civilian security guards were killed in a construction site near Nahal Kidron at the outskirts of Jerusalem. The Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades claimed responsibility.
    December 3: The Israeli security forces captured two terrorists on their way to commit a massacre in Yokne'am school. The two were members of the Palestinian security apparatus and were armed with 10 kg explosive belt. More details: [1], [1].
    December 25: 4 Israelis were killed as a 17-years-old suicide bomber blew himself up in a bus station on a main road between Tel Aviv and Petah Tikva. The PFLP claimed responsibility.
