1) NCM (NewCREST) has nothing to do with it! NewMONT signed a pre-bid Acceptance with HSK for their 7.6% holding in NQM.

2) Adding other Acceptances to Newmont's, HSK had the Rights to about 10% of NQM's total shares.

3) With the lapsing of HSK's Offer, Newmont and all the other NQM shareholders who Accepted HSK's Offer are now 'free agents' and can deal with their NQM shares as they see fit (ie. Hold them, Accept CQT's Offer, or hang out for any 3rd-party Offer).
