I'm no oil and gas expert but I don't think you can compare the net pay to the total depth of the well from the ground down. It's my understanding that net to gross is calculated using the gross size of the actual hydrocarbon target that's been drilled into. That's like saying the Venus oil discovery offshore Namibia was disappointing because they only got 84 meters of net pay in 6300m of drilling
