A vaccine isn't the only way we start to build out of this crisis. As announced by the PM and Professor Murphy recently, once the ability to track, trace and isolate efficiently is available we can start moving forward. That's just weeks away.
Consider this, currently there are <10,000 confirmed cases in Australia out of 25,000,000 people. The only reason all 25M ppl are restricted at the moment is because we can't clearly see who is infected. Once we can clearly see that then the restrictions can be wound back.
Small pockets of the virus will breakout and can be controlled locally without shutting down the entire economy. Common sense social distancing practices will remain for some time, possibly a long time but the economy can start moving again and we will be able to, to a large extent, get back to relatively normal lives.
The market knows this and is reacting accordingly.
Having said that, normal international travel might well be a while away, if WEB can survive into 2021 with minimal revenues they might get through this.
