Phil, in my experience with other super products, we have been able to exceed investment limits as this is a corporate action, not a buy order for more which would come with limit errors. The same way value changes can exceed limits. But Australian Super do things there own way....
They should have a corporate actions team and that is where you should inquire about eligibility. Again, as per other retail/wholesale super account experience, the corporate action should definitely flow through to the account holder, being your super fund.
You will not be able to apply for the SPP in another entity, i.e. your own name.
