Once again I think you're questioning something very trivial imo....refer to
@TraderGT 10point summary in the "investor presentation summary" thread to see the bigger picture.
I will best answer your question but before I do full disclosure:
- I feel its a waste of time for you and me, neither of our sentiments will change. Mine will only strengthen as I redo research I've already done. However it does benefit removing doubt created in other holders minds that may not know this company as intimately and essentially thats the only reason I'm responding.
- I also feel like I took a sniff of whatever GG takes each morning and double posting the daylights of these threads lmao
- End of the day non-holders have nothing to lose so they wouldn't have done their DD anywhere near to the caliber us holders with a lot of money on the line have.
- Don't bother responding, even if you do its very likely I wont reply back here as these petty back and forth trivial question aren't too constructive for many of us trying to find meaningful information.
Now to answer your question:
1. I would like to point out you've taken things much out of context. BoQ didnt sign Salesforce because they broke Australian Privacy Principles Clause 5 and Clause 8.
These clauses have nothing to do with where Salesforce chooses to host their data. They could do it in the middle of the most war ridden country per say Syria and abide by these Clauses.
Clause 5 means: Full disclosure of information being held offshore. This means the customer must be made aware via reasonable steps data is held offshore. Which is already done by the big 4 banks if you bother to read through the 72pages of T&C's when signing up. (
https://www.oaic.gov.au/agencies-an...ion-of-the-collection-of-personal-information)
Clause 8 means: The entity must take necessary compliance and security steps and must hold accountable for any security breach (
https://www.oaic.gov.au/agencies-an...oss-border-disclosure-of-personal-information)
2. Flamingo, as I've mentioned 5times now have gone through the strictest PCI, third party, auditing, F500 personal compliance there is. They said themselves its a challenge they like.
They are also tested and audited by a third party security team selected by the Client themselves, so think for a second one of the biggest companies in the world aren't going to pick a bootleg security compliance team off the back of yellow pages.
Clause 8 hence is not a problem. And in conclusion your whole point is invalid and taken out of context. You must look at why the deal was broken and under which clauses.
"While APRA-regulated entities CAN use overseas clouds, there is a checklist they must work through" which is exactly what I've been repeating.... 6th time now....Flamingo passes these benchmarks each time.
3. As a non-holder I do understand you have nothing on the line and its likely you may have not looked into the Flamingo team as much as those who have a lot on the line. But please take a moment to look at the guy running security...Joe Waller.
He began as a developer for IBM, then a developer for EA, then started and scaled up betfair and their entire security system.
If you heard this guy speak, when asked about security he managed to silence us in a few seconds. And his partner in crime jack elliot who was just as eager to show off the security compliance.
If thats not enough they have doc searls as an advisor.
Sorry if I may sound blunt but just tired of the trivial questions being brought up. Almost like asking a Formula 1 mercedes benz driver "hey did you check if you have the right tyre pressure" "oh also are the wheels aligned" "are you using e10 fuel?" "did you bring a helmet?". It would be more constructive to discuss per say the other racers he might be in competition with and their strategy or how the race track (industry) is looking, what challenges he might face going around tight turns rather than what might happen going in straight line.
I'll leave this thread here, once again we will let the price do the talking...16c or 4c what will it hit first
Goodluck mate
