Sloeb what you described with your legendary TT trader is exactly what regulators have now banned. That is called creating a false market. When you are on both sides in volume you seriously risk manipulating price to your outcome and you push the market to you on both sides, you are manipulating the market.
What happened yesterday morning as we all saw...specifically distorted price discovery, resulting in A particular players optimal outcome. ASX needs to be aware of the sysndicate that is all that Rolf correctly pointed out. ASIC will issue notices for less.
Try entering an order in commsec on two sides in close proximity and see what happens...
