Last I checked, Australian agricultural supply stores/warehouses and vets, still have it. To ban it would wipe out very wealthy large landholding Australian elite's livestock. Not something a government of large landholding colonial elite are about to do. They just want to get rid of what they consider "excess people" or "useless mouths" to use a phrase from an earlier similar regime that was a problem in Europe some time ago.
