Take into account that at the time of the last election there was no thought of a pandemic so the electorate did not make a Covid based choice. Nor will it be the main focus of the next one where economics may dominate the agenda. I see the battle being between climate change, electricity price and generation plus the economy.
As you say it will be up to voters in Kelly's electorate that will make the decision but bear in mind there will be a Turnbull, Rudd, Labor, ABC and Green united opposition to both Kelly and the Libs. If Kelly did win it would be one allmighty victory over all that opposition.
