Coal boss tough to find

HAS anyone heard of from Mr Craig Ransley lately?
Craig, you might recall, was the head of Guildford Coal which also employs former Mayor Tony Mooney and former Member for Herbert Peter Lindsay.
Guildford has never mined any coal, but that doesn’t mean that one day Messrs Ransley and Co won’t roll up the sleeves, get out the shovels, and start digging. With prices in the basement, Guildford, like so many other coal hopefuls have battened the hatches.
Mr Ransley lived in Townsville for a time while trying to shore up coal contracts around Hughenden and owned a penthouse in the Solarus block in Palmer St.
We discovered that Mr Ransley has not long sold the penthouse for $2.2 million.
As to where Mr Ransley is hanging his miner’s lantern these days we are not sure. There is a suggestion he could be in Singapore.
If that’s the case, we’re wondering if he has bumped into former coal miner and race horse fancier Nathan Tinkler.
Mr Tinkler? Now there’s an interesting chap.
