What is very important is that Julia Gillard has full faith and support in the member for Dobell.
He has "crossed a line" but still votes in support of the government.
He has been the previous recipient of secret funding from the NSW ALP, and he failed, until caught out, to declare this funding in the parliamentary register of members' interests.
Is Thomson receiving any further support for his legal costs from the ALP at the moment - this question should be asked in Parliament to the member, to allow him to answer.
It will be very interesting to see what Thomsons' defence to these charges will be - at the moment I cannot see what he can do to defend himself but stranger things have happened.
