What I can tell you is:
A lot of people don't follow even the most basic investing musts.
Like: use stop loss, don't put all your eggs in the single basket, etc.
Always decide how much money am I prepared to lose, on each stock, before entering the trade.
Use stop loss! There is no 'sure thing' in stock market!
Not doing so is equivalent to 8 year-old sitting in the Ferrari, ignoring stupid talk about brakes, steering wheel and other nonsense. Pressing the gas pedal and hoping for the best.

Not saying that's you, but everybody should always look at themselves and ask the question:
Do I know what I am doing or am I that 8 year-old sitting in the Ferrari, about to floor the gas pedal.
