There were many other contributing factors in respect of 1929, including: 1. the level of USA based and global protectionism; 2. a re-arming Europe; 3. the continuation of Prohibition in the States; 4. limited /non-existent social welfare net.
Add to that the number of people (quite small actually) who owned their own homes, had jobs with careers, or who were properly educated.
Markets always bear out risks (equally to the upside, as well as to the downside).
The fact that today is the 29th, therefore, seems to have re-inforced significance in the context of what you have posted.
I gather, then, that apart from educating us, you are actually hoping for such a collapse to occur? Or have I mis-interpreted your comments.
