The US car industry should be allowed to fail. The spivs running them have no idea...turning up in private jets to get a handout from congress, still producing gas guzzling suv's etc way after they should have known about "peak oil".
They can have a viable car industry but they need new management and be able to restructure...ie enter ch 11
