I would call it a non-event, because it never happened!!!!
The market fell (on a closing basis) from 6422 on 24/7 to 5671 on 17/8 (a far cry from 5400), and recovered the total loss in less than 5 weeks.
This "wood duck" has been around a lot longer than you Sandune and from first hand experience, rest assured, there is always a buyer on the "screen" for blue chips at a price.
