re: Crashy goes long AMP, NCP ... Jolly Hi Jolly ... from memory Mar02 quarter revenues were US$490mil positive, the cause of the NCP rally early May02.

The loss making Telesiu acquisition was the recent cloud ... but as we have heard today Rupert has walked away ... phew .. !!!

The sneaky ann re Gemstar write-downs fuelled your SHORT profits ... and whilst many have gone LONG today ... the reversal is not in the bag yet but hoping for more overnight which may/not eventuate ... tight stops ...

Rupert is not a financial genius ... but the Harry Houdini of the corporate world ... he is a predator who always writes escape clauses into every deal.

Kirsh (Taurus) has to cough up US$3billion cash in October02 following the failure re German PayTv deal there ... liberating gearing of BSky...

Just as a cat always lands on it's feet, Rupert calls in favours when he needs them ...

NCP has suffered huge losses to advertising revenues and others such as Gemstar due largely to changes in the global media climate rather than flawed fundamentals ... these may not improve to save Rupert but again time will tell ..

I don't hold NCP as FPO's but trade the derivatives so the strategy has nothing to do with P/E's etc ... simply trading the swings which are very profitable if you can handle the overnight gaps ...

    Cheers ...

This is only my view .. read the red stuff.
