Crashy I've been writing options for about 9 months now and have had ups and downs due to my experience. Having a monthly cash flow is a great bonus. Do you close out positions early if say for instance you write NAB Aug @ 3200 calls and it's price falls to say 3000.(only due to the current volatility in the market)
Also a hedge isn't overated for example about 4 months ago i wrote puts on CML and got canned not long after. cost me a little bit to close out. That was my first big lesson in put writing. I only write calls over what i own but since leaving the market two weeks ago i think it would be a good opportunity to write some naked out of the money calls.
