Gotta is on the money. Indexed funds must take a position in the stock as it enters the index. Quant funds attention will also have been drawn to the stock and since the metrics are attractive, these guys will also have looked to enter. Have a look at trading at other stocks that entered indexes when the larger reweighting occurred.
