The limestone wall I put in year ago and I was going to leave it, however when I got the pond liner I realised I would need cut a fair bit off and it would be a waste so I moved that wall out to create a bigger pond.
Just takes a bit of work getting the first layer of limestone level, cement between the gaps after. Again the brick pavers on top of the limestone was because I had excess pond liner so added the pavers to use up the liner and make the pond deeper. They are try stacked, ie no mortar then the sandstone capping finishes it off
