A Ruler rules.
The Brother who took my year 12 Math was very insistent and about 80 years old with that glint in his eye when floggings at school were acceptable happened to be mentioned.
I can go either way on the rule/ruler debate as the essence of languages is fluid but it can be a great conversation starter
