Finally committed to a wooden foot, part of an old pergola and I believe the wood is Karri.
The foot and the Swappy Sheoak just had a coat of resin so I hope the colour stays the same for a year at least?

I’ve tested the seat out on a variety of body shapes ranging from average to portly in the 100 plus kg range and it didn’t creak/crack, seemed stable and I would be happy to give it a SWL of 120kgs if I wasn’t legally obligated for being incorrect.
