Thanks K48 for your response. I have been in this stock for over two years and understand the tightness with which ii is held. It's not the thinness of trade but the composition. Have you had a look at the trading composition at all over the last three months. Lots of single digit sales followed by larger amounts before reversion to single digits. It's simply extraordinarily haphazard by any yardstick you might want to apply.
My broker hazarded at a guess that it might have something to do with indexing in some way but he was at a loss really to explain it,
If you go back over the individual sales for the last month see if tightness of the securities really does explain it.
