re: crean is speaking..neville chamberlain Don't knock Neville,the months that he gave Britain by not declaring war earlier were vital to Britains defence in the early days of the war.Britain was completly unprepared for war and needed time to gear up the military machine.Without that extra time Britain may have been beaten in a matter of months.We in Australia may have to resort to similar tactics in the future.The takeover of East Timor caught Australia by surprise,no talk of appeasement only lack of power to do much about it.
