Nachdem beim Goldpreis eine gewisse Konsolidierung eingesetzt hat, könnte dies jetzt eine interessante Einstiegschance sein. Risikofaktor ist eine mögliche Aufwertung beim US Dollar. Wichtig ist auch das Goldangebot. Produktionsausfälle in Australien und Südafrika, insbesondere Simbabwe, führten in 2007 zu einer geringeren Produktion. Auch in 2008 ist die Goldproduktion bis jetzt rückläufig.
