Yes, it happened to me recently , really vierd way. My card expired January, I received new card and I destroyed into small pieces old one. In May I went on internet banking site, and there were every day withdrawals of 100 dollars. I inmediatelly rang bank and to my surprise they couldn't see any illegal transactions. OK they blocked card and started investigate. Cut the story short, on old expired card there was monthly prescribed software payment witdrawal by major company , for whatever reason this company was able to use expired card plus someone from that company went rough...my bank refunded few thousand dollars.
