Be careful when pulling your card out and tapping if there are high res video cameras or mobile phones around. I am absolutely sure a local store I went to had captured my detail as I used a card for the first time in 12 months at it (tap) and within a few days I had fraud. I went back to the store and everything looked legit except there was a camera pointed right at the cash register area. Unless another customer had done it while I was standing around with my card out.
