Buy now, pay later operators have reported resilient numbers during COVID-19, driving a strong recovery in the share prices of the listed players. In a quarterly update last week, Zip said 70,000 new customers were added in April - which equates to 2333 a day,
Shaw & Partners analyst Jonathon Higgins said Afterpay and Zip had successfully traded through COVID-19 and over the past five years had taken 30 per cent of Australians as customers, halting credit card growth.
